Quick question.... does little river have grills for public use? Also... what is the water leve like... enough for swimming? i'm taking the family along for a picnic while i dive.

Yes, they have a few grills and picnic tables on the far side, porta-potties, and some nice nature trails. There are always kids swimming in the head pool when it's nice out. Have fun!Originally Posted by IowaCaveDiver

The water level is low, but there is a natural "dam" which keeps enough water in the headpool for swimming.
Were you there yesterday with your wife and boy? If so, I met them while you (and my husband) were down.
yup! that was us... the wife was bummed she wasn't diving... she won't dive if her son is present because he worries too much. After hearing about the conditions she said she be headded back without me!
Cool, if she heads out that way again let me know, I'd dive with her if she wants a buddy. I make it out there most weekends.
