Had a great time a Ginnie today.
Ended up beating Jon, Chuck and Alan by about an hour. While I waited I went ahead and ran the primary and 1st jump. After that I ended up waiting for them to get ready in the freezing cold. (I see a dry suit in my future) Luckily nearby campers had a big fire going. I was really cool watching all the steam rolling off me after I warmed up.
Alan ended up forgetting most of his gear so he ended up being our surface support dude. Jon, Chuck, and I were off to the white room. With all the lines run we had plenty of time to look around while we were in there. Couldn’t help but wonder if any of the small tunnels in the back go anyplace interesting.
On the way back I pulled all the lines except the primary. At the time I was assuming everyone would be up for another dive. After the 1st dive I asked them what they wanted to do on the 2nd dive. To my surprise the rest of the crew wimped out. To tell the truth if I had pulled the line and my deco bottle I may have wimped out myself. There aren’t many things worse than putting on a wet cold wet suit in the cold. (Did I mention I see a dry suit in my future)
Did my 3rd dive solo. I kept it simple and close by. Swam from the Eye to the Gallery and looked around in the catacombs. After hitting thirds for the 3rd time I grabbed by deco bottle and pulled my line from the ear.
