Can it change this much in ten days, or is this a case of two divers with different reference points? For example, it can be fairly light compared to Manatee, and kicking compared to Peacock.

Probably so. I have dove Madison Blue about 8 times. My gage of flow is to measure how much flow there is back at 1,000 feet or so. I get in on the Martz tunnel, which hits the main line around 500 feet. "Flow is kicking" = "noticible flow at 1,000 feet".

Another gage I use is to look at the rapids where the water runs into the river.

But you have a good point. Flow is a matter of perspective.

It was a great dive, though. Yes, my second dive was the Grand Traverse at Peacock with Pete (aka Superlyte27) and Russel (aka Green Streak). Super dive. Clear the whole way. Orange Grove was crystal clear. The weather was just perfect. Saw Tommy (dude who manages Cave Dive Forum). Weather wise, this is a perfect time of year to visit cave country in Florida.

Can't wait to dive again. Is it Friday yet?

I had a friggin awesome day. Madison was crystal clear and amazing. I haven't seen OG that clear in a long time. It was crystal clear even at the steps. I had a great time with Dean and Russel. Thanks for having me along.
