Hello group,
I just completed 4 days of diving at Ginnie; 7 dives; nearly 12 hours underwater. This is the first time I spend all my time in a single system. The service at Ginnie and at Cave Excursion is great, as usual. I also discovered the great after sale service of Extreme Exposure who repaired my backup light no questions asked.
During this trip, I met some extraordinary people starting with Jeff who I dove with for a day... we had a great time underwater. Today, Ryan from NY saved my day by offering me a primary light as mine did not want to turn on....
After doing some of the dives, such as those around the Sherwood split, I developed great admiration for those how surveyed and mapped the cave... it is easy for us "cave tourists" to come in and out, but I can imagine what it takes to do this slowly, taking measurements, drawing and taking notes... very impressive that this type of work is still being done much further into the cave and at greater depths.
The only negative aspect was the loss of my black, large, DUI Thinsulate underwear. If found, please bring it to Rich at Cave Excursion East who will put it aside in a locker that I have access too... and le me know...
