Default DUI Thinsulate Underwear lost on CR-340

    Hello group,

I left my DUI underwear dry on the top of my car while filling tanks at Cave Excursion East... forgot it and lost it on my way to Ginnie Springs.

If anyone finds it, please email me at mtherr@hotmail.com or leave it for me at Ginnie.

I am staying in the area for a few days (leaving on Saturday Oct 16.)

    Thanks all!

    Michel Therrien

Gee I did that once. JeanDiver saw them fly off the car's roof and chased after me catching up at Ginnie Springs to return them. Guess no one saw them depart your car. Hope you get them back. Was your name on them anywhere?

I lost a battery off the back of a truck like that. I retraced the path walking and found it. Still works great

    Good luck to you!

2 weeks ago we made the 100 mile trip to Peacock with the tailgate down. [cant see it with the topper] Got out at P1 and my crate was 8 inches from the edge. Lid was gone but everything else was accounted for. I bout crapped my pants but said a little prayer and am sure of that never happening again. Good luck with getting them back but at least someone will be warm if you dont.

Yup, been there, done that! Actually, it was my buddy, Shocky. We were all geared up, and ready to go up at Little River, when he realized that he had a short fill. So, loaded his rig in the back of my truck, for the trek back to Branford Dive Center. Upon his return to LR, I asked what the deal was with his tanks. Huh??? Turns out, he left the tailgate down, and lost everything, doubles with wing and regs. Backtracked, but found nothing. Notified every dive shop in the area. Luckily, somebody passing by saw them on the side of the road, and did turn them in. What a weekend that was!!! Ended up going tubing down the Ichetucknee with the gals.

The driver in all this was when checking my valves, the dummy at the dive shop had closed the isolation valve and only filled one side. I was so pissed that I rushed off down the road to Branford and in the process flung the tanks on the side of the road! Lesson learned, check your valve and close your tailgate.

Here's mine (or shall I say my friend's): You know those cargo trays that slide into your receiver hitch? He slid his into the receiver, but only a couple of inches instead of all the way. So when he put the pin in, it didn't grab anything. So he was tooling down the I-75/85 connector in downtown Atlanta doing about 80 during rush hour, and the tray slid out, scattering ALL his cave diving gear on the highway. The only thing he didn't lose was his doubles - the only thing IN the Suburban.
