    Default Ginnie Springs?

I noticed the Santa Fe is up several feet... anyone know if Ginnie Springs is still open, and what's the current status of cave diving there? I was planning a trip this weekend but don't want to come if it's not worth it.

I think it would have been on the Forum if it was closed though.

    Default Ginnie

I was just there Wed. and I heard the river crested that day, so it should start to go down now. The water was at the top step of the platform at little devils, and standing water in front of the platform, and the campsites near the bathroom, but the diving is great still. The flow is down some, and you have to enter thru the eye and deal with a million primary lines because the tarp is up between the ear and eye, and the float ball is under water, and very tannic. Visibility in the system was usual Ginnie Clear. All the parking spots are still dry. Hope this helps.

2.5 inches of rain the night of April 1st at my house, which is upstream Santa Fe from Worthington Springs.Looks like a few dry days ahead, but expect it to come up some more over next 2-3 days

I went and looked at 8 this am - still clear at the Eye. The staff at Ginnie indicated thery may close it to diving if the river comes up much more & covers that little peninsula across from the main steps at the eye.
