    Default Childs wetsuit

This may not be the place for this since it is not "cave" related but......I'm wondering if anyone has a little boys wetsuit, about a 2 or 3mm for my 6yr old that they'd be willing to part with. If so, let me know and I can check the sizes. We're headed down to Ginnie and my son has gotten really interested in "sea diving" so I wanna get him started on snorkeling and it would not only help keep him warm but give him some positive bouancy also. Thanks.

    Default Wet suit

Well I have just a suit that was my sons and he has out grown it.
It really is a nice kid suit. It is a Body Glove X2 junior size 14. It is a 5mm and my son is very slim and the suit is not baggy at all.
Check the sizing if you can find the Body Glove size chart on line. I have not looked but if you are interested just let me know and I will send you some pictures.

According to the size chart, it would be way too big. Starting to think I'm not gonna find one without buying new. I'm trying not to since 1)I don't know if he's even gonna care about snorkeling/diving and 2)they outgrow stuff so fast. Thanks a lot though. Maybe someone else has one.

Don't spend a lot on it, they outgrow them pretty fast! BTW, who's to say he won't grow up to be a cavediver

    Default Wet suit

Sorry murfef, I am on my way to get my soon to be 13 yr old daughter a new wet suit! My LDS recommends buying Deep Sea if you have to order a new one.
They will grow out of it before the suit is wore out unless you live on the water. I have been impressed with the Body Glove suit. It is one of the nicest I have seen. The Henderson I have is bigger 5/3 mm construction is good but a little light for cold water. Blue lips on your child is a dead give away that they will stick with diving!
Just bite the bullet and look for used and if you can not find one buy new.
It is so worth spending time in the water as a family, it is awesome!
Some of the best times I have had in the past two years was spent in the water with my son and daughter! Kids are incredible in the water they remind us how excited and full of wonder we truly are at heart!
    Good luck,

I have a few child sized wetsuits, which I think are all between 5 to 7 mm. I've had them for the past few years and my children (and their cousins) keep getting bigger so they grow out of them.
If you can tell me what exact size you think would work I can see if I have one but I'm pretty sure I do and I could drop it off up at Ginnie for you.

Well, he is about 46 inches tall and I'm guessing about 45 lbs. The size charts seem to vary. I'm afraid to order one at this point due to shipping times. If you have one that would fit him that would be awsome. I was also wondering, if worst comes to worst, if Ginnie rents childrens wetsuits. If you think the size is close, let me know and we can work something out. Thanks.
