    there's a reserve price, meaning the bids have to reach a certain price before it will actually sell. could still end up a good deal, though

    i just had one die last week, so i'm giving it a try. bad thing is, i was spoiled by paying $180 new for it - silent auction - so i'm not bidding aggressively.
