    Default ginnie river intrusion tunnel

On the way back from the hinkel today I was nosing around (about ten minutes) looking for the river intrusion tunnel (appears on the Berman map straight across form stage btl rock). I didn't notice any jumps marked. Did I miss the marked jump and are there permanent lines in the tunnel? Tips?

    Thanks-Matt

Been awhile since I've been there, but there is line in the tunnel, and if I remember correctly there is a T that goes to a little passage that doesn't go any where.

    It's a pretty big tunnel....

My tip is not to go there, especially if you're swimming, it's one of the most boring tunnels in Ginnie

There are two passages leaving from the main line each with a line. They join together after 100' or so and then it keeps going for another 100' or so. I'm quite sure it's a T.

Just want to see all of ginnie that I can.

I know that there are two passages from the map...are they straight across from stage bottle rock or so I need to look around some more?

If that were the case nobody would ever go to ginnie with all the lines and all. Just curious...This tunnel is the last backmount tunnel that I have to see on the first map. Plus I am on a limited time budget...going to Iraq on 12 Nov. Maybe another dive or two.

When heading upstream and the gold line goes hard left towards stage bottle rock tie in a jump real and go hard right and you will see the jump line on the left side of the opening. Then about half way around you will see a 'T' and if you go all the way around you come back out on the gold line a little farther upstream. When you head back to your reel take the 'T' and follow it back and you'll enjoy that a lot. It's a nice little circuit that is worth taking a look at.

Be safe in Iraq and come back for some more cave diving!

    Fair enough!

I'm not sure it's the most interesting line in Ginnie - in fact I found it pretty boring. But it's fun to know every nook and cranny in there.

    Stay safe in Iraq.
