Default just wanted to introduce myself.

Hello everyone. My name is Adam I am a 26 year old US Marine. I was stationed with 2nd force recon in camp lejeune. I have been an open water diver for the past 11 years. I am now a padi dive master and a combat dive instructor(mk-25 rebreather, scuba, and surface supplied) at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training center in Panama City FL. I got bit last year when I was doing a triathlon at Jackson Blue and saw People entering the cave system. After swiming the triathlon in the spring and having never seen vis like that before. I had my open water gear with me and dove down there. No I did not attempt to go into the cave. I have way to much respect for the environment then to just dive in. But I am however very interested and have started the route to become a full cave diver. I am enrolled in a intro to cavern class and am not looking or trying to learn how to cave dive on your website but to simply get opinions on equipment, places to dive, and when I am fully certified maybe find some dive partners. I appreciate the concern you take regarding members. I have been very intrested in cave diving for some time now. I work at a local dive shop and have no intrest in spear fishing or searching for shells like most of our customers. I will be stationed in north Florida for the next 3 years and see this as the perfect opertunity to become a fully certified cave diver. Any advice on gear and training would be greatly accepted. I am taking my classes at scubatiger in jacksonville florida but thinking about contuning at cave adventures in Mariana. Hope you all have a safe dive and am looking fowarding to chatting with a few of you.
    Adam

    Hi Adam!

Thank you for your service, and welcome aboard!

You're in a great place to learn about the wonderful and addicting world of cave diving. Edd at Cave Adventurers is excellent.

There are some great cave divers right there in Panama City with you.

    Enjoy, and dive safe!

Welcome aboard. The Men of the 1/8 left Fallujah and came, straight, to Slidell right after Katrina. You guys will always be regarded among the greatest of the great as far as I am concerned. Your service will never be forgotten by me. I will probably see you around Cave Adventurers. Mark

Welcome Adam. I got started at Scuba Tiger myself but havent heard of the intro cavern class. I did cavern with them [padi] and cave classes with others. I understand ST does NAUI courses too. Good luck with your new hobby.
