    Default Thought I'd say hello

I have just registered (Thanks Tom for doing that for me and accepting my banned gmail address :P) and I've noticed a couple of people introducing themselves so I thought I'd do the same.

I've been diving since 2000 and have just finished Intro to Cave in the UK. I have always felt attracted to caves but the opportunity to start has only presented itself now.

I imagine most of you are from the US but unfortunately I don't see myself going there in the near future although I've obviously read and heard a lot about Florida and my instructor even did his instructor course there with Larry Green.

The training has been done in mines as caves here are better suited to sidemount and the vis is usually much worse, although there are a couple of exceptions.

The only photo I have so far is one of myself (attached).

But there are some youtube videos as well. Before you open them I have to warn you of the poor technique displayed by the divers.

The first one is Hodge Close. It's nice because you can also see the path to the water.

This one is also in Hodge Close but in a different tunnel and the footage is only on the surface.

This one is at Holme Bank Chert Mine. I really enjoyed the dives here.

You need to get to the US for a dive or two.

I think France will be a more probable destination.

I have also dived in Portugal.

You can see some info on this cave here: http://www.alviela.com/ It's in english and it also contains photos and a movie.
