    Default Scuba Australia Video Application

    Hi guys!

Kathleen needs your help. Our video application to the "Best Job in the World" contest is doing great! (#44 / 20,300) but we had problems in our submission and it isn't showing up at all on the main contest site.

It's very cool, mentions cave diving, and it can be rated thru YouTube (it is definitely one of the better applications out there). If we are going to have any shot at this we need a lot of people to SIGN IN and RATE the video (5 stars) or just to view and boost our numbers.

It's also a social media contest so the more viewers the better. Send the link to others who might like it and ask them to help out!

    Thanks!
    Gary

BTW: once we're there we're supposed to invite people to come stay with us on Hamilton Island. Maybe even arrange some cave diving...

    Thanks!

In the last 12 hours our views and ratings have stopped growing - despite new commentary on the blog. I'm afraid we my be stuck at around #23 in the ratings.

Thanks for your support. Guess we'll have to travel to Australia the old fashioned way.

Don't you mean the expensive way?

That's the only way I can think of. It may be posiable to view video thru another wesite but I've never seen it where you can actually vote on the video that way.

My security settings on IE are so high I can only view YouTube videos thru certain "trusted" websites. I use Mozilla for YouTube normally but as often as I'm on YouTube lately I ought to make it a trusted site also (not that I can remember what my YouTube password is so I could log in and vote if I did).

If you can't see the video it's probably a javascript issue, if you can't signup/log in to vote it's probably blocked cookies. For IE making it a trusted site would allow both for me but most people's browsers settings will allow both by default.

We actually go a big bump on votes and views in the last 12 hours so we aren't completey out of the running yet.

This was actually the first video type thing I've ever put together using the cool software that came on my computer. I'm pretty impressed with myself actually and with how well the video is doing in the YouTube ratings.

Funny in the video there seems to be a big drop-off in viewer interest immediately following a 1 second shot of a web application near the end before returning to some manta ray footage. It's amazing anyone could click the stop button that quick and miss the end of the video... LOL

It was great that we had so many great underwater videos of ourselves to draw on. I wish we had 5 minutes to work with instead of only 60 seconds.
