    Default College Diver

I may have an opportunity to do a cultural exchange through my university over the summer - does anyone know anything about the archeological projects going on down in the cenotes in Mexico? I have to submit my funding proposal by February 20th so I don't have much time to do research.
I have a complete technical kit, but lack the training. I know there was some work done a couple years ago where training was provided by the expedition organizers. Does anyone know of anything current?

Any help on this is appreciated

Check with Matt at Protec in Playa del Carmen. Here's the email address: info@protecdiving.com. He can help you with training and you'll be in his neck of the jungle.

You can find Protec on the internet at http://www.protecdiving.com

Matt will likely be able to discuss research that he is aware of as well.

I am available for fully sponsored/funded cave diving research while attending college as well. Name the major and I will sign up. Maybe it is already a planned part of my "stimulus package" being approved by The Messiah and The Good Ole Boys.

    Just an update -
I put out a couple emails, including the one to Matt - nothing solid has come back as of yet, but I will post an update as things progress

    Unhappy

after meeting with my advisor today, I was informed that there were certain stipulations placed on receiving grant monies which would negate my ability to use them for any sort of expedition or research purposes.

I guess asking Uncle Sam to cover my cave training expenses was not part of the deal... I just wanted to drop a quick thank you to everybody you sent me ideas and leads - I appreciate your time
