    What were you driving?
I was riding in a blue minivan. I was diving with a group of two cavern divers on Sunday(both in singles). On Saturday, I ditched JB, and caught a ride on with RN(he pulled into the park with his jonboat) so I wasn't around except for early in the morning. Sunday(1/4), I would have been the guy diving with the single-tank cavern divers in sidemount. Later in the day, I did get an actual cave dive in with another sidemount diver(short little girl) who I believe posts here as cmufieldhockey(she posts on other forums as that name for sure). She was diving with an Intro diver with a single tank and another Intro diver in doubles(her BF, who we teased would have to haul all her gear before too long).

The two cavern divers were taking pictures of everything, if anything caught your attention, their strobes should have

How were your dives this weekend?

Yeah the old Gavin is heavy to haul, but it is fast. Got one the special wound motors. I've got the battery and housing to convert it to a short tube when just messing around - it's not enough burn time to go very far though. It's nice to scooter in Florida where you can see where you're going. In Missouri, many times I'm scootering in 20 ft vis and fairly tight passage. There you spend your time just watching the line and what's directly in front of you - not much sightseeing.

Our dives were excellent, thanks for asking. I'm back a work now, just wishing I was back there. We hit a lot of new territory, which is always fun. Made it to the Henkle in Ginnie, which was a fun dive. Also saw the Bat room and the Dome rooms. Took a camera for the first time, so we spent some time trying to take some pics - I've got a lot to learn there.

Yep, I recall all that. Sounds like a lot of people learning. JB seems like a good place for that.

Good but I didn't mess with anyone's stage though. Left the scooter at home and did some nice swim dive. LR and Cow.

We saw you at Little River on the 6th I think. We were in a white van (imagine that) with big Heartland Scuba logos on it. We were climbing up the stairs just as you were heading down. We exchanged "hi's" but didn't really meet. We get down to Roubidoux once in a while; maybe we'll see you down there sometime?

    Later,
    Brian

That's right. I remember seeing your van and thinking you guys were a long way from home. Takes us 14 - 15 hrs to get there, your time has to be quite a bit more. We're at Roub a lot, so maybe we'll see you there.

My buddy Duane and I were at Jackson the 2nd, 3rd, and 10th. We were in the white p/u parked by the sidewalk. I wore a black and red drysuit, his drysuit is black with blue piping. We spoke for a minute or two; I noticed the Missouri plates and commented on how far you had to drive.

Glad to hear you had good diving. Don't mind Russell, his effect on your sanity is usually only temporary.
