I remember getting caught by lamar hires and Jim Fishback on the ski rope in cow, in 97, when my father and I were first bit by the bug..... in single outlet 80's, with cavern certifications (wasn't old enough to have full cave, or I would have). Sounds like you guys have the bug...... and sounds like you are on the right page as far as speed goes. Remember pretty much anyone can be certified now, so dont put too much stock in the card itself, put your stock into good mentors and experience, and a good slow pace.

To answer your question about Little Gator Siphon near Buford, see this thread: http://www.scubadiver.cc/forums/showthread.php?t=755. As TJ notes, it is a "VERY advanced cave dive."

    Thanks for fixing that problem....
There's a GPS coordinate already given on the Net. Plus, trust me, there will not be thousands of people wanting to run the gauntlet of the mosquitoes.....

Tell you what. Ill bet you cant find the location without help even with gps if you hadnt already known where to go.

I hope because of this you never learn the location of any other good dive site...

    Bill,

Thanks for the advice, Full Cave is defintely in the plans, but not yet. We have had our Cavern for about a year and our loving learning the entrances the tie off points proper line etiquette, etc....., This year we plan to get Basic, keep it for a year and then go from there.

I'm a Skydiving Instructor, I've had over a 100 students, I get the jest of extreme sports like this one, and I prefer to go slow and learn evry aspect.

But I agree you have to have self control, especially when the cave calls and they call often.
