Default Can private property owners charge for cave diving on their property?

If your cave enterance is like 300 feet back from river, can the property owner sell private dive experiences? I was wondering the counties rules. Gracy

    For land entry? Sure.

For water entry(via the river), not if there is navigable waterway to the entrance.

If they charge you money, they will be liable for accidents though. There's a law out there that will protect land owners who do NOT charge any entrance fees for activities such as cave diving.

If you are thinking about negotiating entry by land from a private party, prepare a waiver for the landowner so they can feel a bit easier about liability.

I would suspect that this person is interested in charging...Just my opinion since this is their first post...

Well I hope I didn't scare off any chances of opening the site :/

Hopefully they'll just draft up a waiver, charge a fair price, and let us dive.

Based on the searching for similar names on Google I would say this person is in Suwannee county...I actually think I have an idea of what site this is (I know that sounds stupid and I am almost assuredly wrong).

I can help do an investigation of how much can be charged. I will go in the system and check it out. I will do an assessment on facilities and accessibility, all for free. PM me Gracy.

I am understanding that since its so far back from the river
it looks ok, if I have solid waivers. Could someone explain to me how to add a photo to this thread? gracy

    Go here http://www.cavediver.net/forum/gallery/upload.php?&c=
Upload a picture and open it in the photo gallery.

There should be a link you can use from the gallery to post the photo to the board.

There is no limit. We'll always find a way to go deeper and deeper. That's been the pattern all along.
