Flow is still about 50' per min difference scootering upstream/downstream. Viz is generally 80', perhaps 60' from p2400'-p2800', and is clear in the Banana Room and the Stratosphere near p4200'. Temp the usual 68*F. With the new keypad entry to the park, it is still necessary to sign in at the Sheriff's Office. You can call in to sign out upon leaving, 850 482-9648.

Thanks, Jim. Great to hear about the increase in visibility!

I was there on the 21st and 22nd, and I would concur that the vis was around 60' or more for the areas I dove. Flow is definitely kicking...

    Hi,
Do we have to call before getting to the Sheriff office?
What are the directions to the Sheriff office?

    Thanks

    Phil

No, you don't have to call. Just show up. Bring your C-Card and $25.00 cash. If your card doesn't have your picture on it, bring your driver's license.

Go to the Sheriff's Office to sign in and pay ($25 the first day, $10 each consecutive, or $150 for an annual pass, all must be in cash, the correct amount). You'll need to show your cave certification card and photo ID, then fill out a form if it's your first time there. You'll be given a punch code to use at the Park gate. You can call the Office to have them sign you out upon leaving the Park, it's not necessary to go back to the Office.

What's the story on the bathrooms? Do you still need to get a key for them?

I believe they leave them unlocked 24/7 now. Maybe not, but they're always unlocked no matter how early or late I'm here. (I'm at JB right now.)
