Default Who lost a weight belt in Jackson Blue?

Did anyone leave a weight belt inside the cave at Jackson Blue? We were pondering the predicament of a diver losing their weight belt in the cave; would have been a rough exit. Keith.

Last week (the 23rd) I saw a gray weight belt on the boulder just inside the cavern on my first dive, but didn't see it on my second dive. I assumed it belonged to one of the sheriff's deputies doing a rescue class there.

You might want to contact the JCSD and ask them if someone is missing one.

    Funny Story-
A friend of mine was diving with New 120’s at JB and DID NOT weight check them at 500psi before the dive. So towards the end of the dive he starts to get buoyant. By the time he makes the cavern he has lots of air but is pretty much on the ceiling.

The hilariously funny part was someone sitting on him while he was holding a rock for the safety stops.

He He He- Say no more. He’s a great guy and he took some serious ribbing for it.
I don’t need no stinking weight!

I was there on the 23rd, and saw the weight belt then, This sunday I asked Gordon from the Dothan Divers Den, and he did not recognise the name from the weight belt (it was his shop that was doing the rescue class with the JCSD).

I saw it in there on the 22nd and figured it to be either belonging to someone from the rescue class or perhaps the fellows that have been cleaning around the cavern entrance. Wish I had known that you and Russell were going to be therre on Sunday, would have changed my plans. Hope you been doing good these days Keith, been a long time since the last time we ate some boiled peanuts there at JB 8)
