Looks like I am in for a week of Peacock, and maybe a day at Ginnie then. Oh well, better than nothing.
Gonna be busy at PS!!! Heaading down tomorrow.
I did Little River today, 12/24/08. The basin is flooded and totally black. We ran a line from the stairs to the gold line and I'm amazed we actually found the cave. There was almost zero viz in the basin. The good news is that the conditions in the cave are great. It appears that it hasn't been dived in a while because there was silt even on the gold line. I
love that cave.
I have never been there before, so I don't have any reference point; so here it goes.
The water is still up above the walkway around the basin. The entrance area is a bit milky but not too bad. There were lots of swimmers topside that continued to stir up the place.
I would say that there was light flow - my buddy who had been there before estimated it to be about 1/3rd of normal. Vis in the cave looked pretty good but we did not go in very far.
