No Cavern certified divers allow since there will not be daylight.
That is awesome to hear. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!

I am thinking an addition donation to the state park might be in order as my way of saying thank you.

My girlfriend would love to do something underwater for New Year's Eve. We were hoping to do a night in Jule's Undersea Lodge, but they are closed. Is this an open invitation party at the Ballroom? If so, what should people interested in attending bring?

Or, is everyone now going to Peacock?

There are two dives New Years eve. This one is at Peacock, but open to any cavediver.

There is also a night dive at Ginnie, and open to any Cave Diver Forum member, and you obviously are, since you are posting here

Come on down, or up, as the case may be.

Absolutely not. Although I wish them success in their outing, there's no way I would choose Peacock over Ginnie for a midnight dive.

    1. Electricity.

    2. Pavilion. It sprinkled last year and absolutely poured the year before.

    3. Electricity.

    4. All certified divers welcome.

    5. Electricity.

    6. Hot showers fifty feet away.

    7. Did I mention electricity?

I'm sure both places will have their own appeal, but for me, Peacock works out better, because its minutes from where I am staying, and I already have my park pass.

No matter which event you attend, have fun and be safe.

The Ginnie Springs dive is an event sponsored by this forum, CDF. I am sure that a lot of folks like myself would like to meet the people that post here and respond to those posts. I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones. I hope that there is a great turnout as it is also a way to show support for Cave Diver Forum. However whether you are spending your New Years diving or somewhere else, I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe New Years.

Just received notice from Ginnie that we will have the pavilion by the run for the day social and bonefire, and the pavilion by the ballroom for the midnight "Galaxy" dive. Also, anyone who signs in on New Years's eve to dive will be able to dive for free on New Year's day.

There are things to do New Years Eve other than cave diving? Why?
