Default Cave photos for research paper needed

    Hi all,

I am in need of a few cave diving photos from Florida springs for use in a research poster presentation at a geology conference next month. The presentation is about how spring reversals during floods affect the chemistry of caves and might ultimately be responsible for their formation. F.Y.I, I don't get paid for this (I actually have to pay to go and pay more to present research...) and have no budget (grad student stipends are low). I'm basically looking for a handout. The photo(s) will only appear on this research poster and is not being sold/transfered to anyone. I'll gladly send a PDF of the poster to anyone willing to help me out and credit the photgrapher on the poster. I am looking for well-lighted photos that show conduit morphologies and have divers for scale.

If you're interested in helping, please email a link to your photos or send a couple to me offline at gulley.jason(at)ufl.edu.

    Thanks.

    Jason

    Default cave photos

    hello Jason,

could you please define what exactly what you need.

    Does conduit mean "tubelike" ?

If so, I´ll try to find something for you, but it won´t be possible before saturday.

I really hope I can help you because you helped too. Remember you sent me your Vortex map for my book.

    Best

    Tom

You can cruise my pics and see if anything fits, if it has a name with it, that is the photographer, please attribute the pic if this will get published.

Jason...I have some pictures of some formations that were bashed and destroyed in the most decorated dry cave in Florida...You probably already have those though.

Thanks Walter.... I really enjoyed the presentation your group gave on Weeki Wachee springs during the Research and Exploration in Florida caves session at the NSS convention.

We actually didn't give a presentation at the NSS convention (scheduling idiocy) but we have a pretty good article in the Handbook and you can watch the Weeki Wachee video at http://blog.karstunderwaterresearch.org
