Personnally I thought the Ramada was a dump when I was there earlier this year. There was no hot water and the management kept stalling us on when it was going to be fixed, and wouldn't offer us any concessions. The carpet was crusty white in places and just frightens the heck out of me to ponder what the mysterious crusting was. We left and stayed elsewhere for about $20 bucks more a night and picked up a free hot breakfast for two to boot.

I can understand you wanting cheap digs if you're over there all the time, but when coming in from out of state and it's a vacation, I'd rather stay someplace clean with hot water.

I complained to Ramada corporate and they told me they couldn't do anything about the conditions given the Marianna location is a franchise. They did forward my "complaints" to the GM at Marianna. You should have seen the letter I got in response from the GM.....Russell/Sludge would have had a field day with it!! It read like it was written by a future Darwin Award recipient.

Out of the two mentioned above, I'd go with the Executive, had far less dead insects in my bed there.

Marianna is very simple to figure out:

Stay on 90 if you're looking for cheap, but remember to add in the cost of clothes pins for your nose and delousing to the room rate. If you're looking for less of a gamble; go to 71 and spend more (and subtract the cost of gas for driving to dinner, as you can stumble back from Ruby Tuesdays)

(btw... avoid the detached rooms on the west side of the Best... I think there was a corpse in the walls there, or so it smelled)

The Executive Inn does not have internet access. I was just there. Edd had wireless at the dive shop.

My buddy and I are stayin a Americas Best tonight...Not bad, about the same as the High Springs Inn. There's wireless also.
