There is no limit. We'll always find a way to go deeper and deeper. That's been the pattern all along.

My name is Shirley Kasser Creech and I approve this message. Well, at least one of me does, anyway. Maybe. Fire. Sharp things. Squirrel!
Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.
I think it says so on their website, but like bugman said its not true. I dove there at the cavern level 5 or 6 times with other cavern divers and had no issue.
It is on their website...
http://www.floridastateparks.org/madison/default.cfm
"Diving Fee - $10.00 per person (includes entrance fee). Cavern and cave diving only, no open water diving. All cavern divers must be accompanied by a certified cave diver or instructor. All divers must show proof of certification prior to diving, solo diving is not permitted."

Never had an issue when I was cavern certified.
There was a time (about a year ago) where they did enforce this for a short period of time.
A few of us called the managing park (Suwannee River State Park) and sorted things out. Apparently they (Madison) never changed their website.
You should be fine.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.
thanks headed down there to do peacock and madison next saturday and sunday
