Default Dominican republic - need information

    Hi everebody!
We are about to vizit Dominican republic soon. I would like to recieve some information about cave diving there from a person who was there. Water temperature in caves, dry or wet suit, useful contacts and so on...

    Thanks!!!

Temperature would be similar to Mexico, mid 70s (22C) so a 5mm -7mm wetsuit would be fine.

    Hi

I live in the DR and cave dive here daily, it would be easier if you emailed me your phone # I will call you and tell you about the cave diving here, it would be a bit long to post info. there are caves all over the place here in the north and south sides most of which have never been dived.

I'm jealous I'd love to do that,

When you go there please take tons of mosquito repellent,
I came back with Dengue Fever, something I had never heard
of before I found out about it the wrong way.

I'd still like to dive there one day tho.

I second the recommendation on the mosquito repellent. I also picked up a nice case of Dengue Fever while there. (Apparently, this is quite rare in the US, but quite common in the DR, so take precautions!) I also picked up a broken leg there after getting hit by a whale, but that's another story!
