Busy Day at the Nest - Mon 10/13

We got in 2 nice dives in Pompano on Sat (Hydro) and Sun (Lowrance), but the weather turned bad on Mon and we headed for the Nest. For the most part, there are "No waves in caves." When we made the last turn into the parking area, we found that several others decided it would be a great day for the Nest also. I'm pretty sure that this was the most vehicles I've seen there. Usually it is just us.

Unfortunately I had tweaked my back on Sun and wasn't up for diving, but Ray, Cyndi, Greg, and Owen got to go check out the Lockwood Tunnel. They all came back with smiles, so I know I missed a good time.

I saw TJ and his team were also diving. Perhaps he can fill in the conditions he observed.

Attached is a photo of the vehicles topside.

No sign of the gator or the snake that I saw. Doesn't mean they aren't there, so keep your eyes open and be careful where you step.

We were there last Saturday, 10-11-08, and we were the only ones there! It was such a beautiful day we thought there would be a crowd (or at least another team). We got there around 8:30 am and pulled out around noon and we didn't see another diver (or the gator). We did talk to a couple hunters who came by and asked the usual questions. FWIW, the visibility was very good.
