Default Come DIVE at the 2008 REACT

REACT - Sat November 1st 8am till late (food will be served at 4:30 and there will be a bonfire after dark)

REACT is a joint celebration between Dive Rite and Cave Excursions to pay tribute to our customers. It is also a great chance to experience the fantastic diving around the Luraville area.

The area it littered with caves and while Peacock and Cow are ever popular and dived frequently, many caves have fallen off the radar. We want to encourage divers to get in the water and re-discover some long forgotten sites: Lafayette Blue, Trap, Kitty, Morgan, Thunderhole, Hidden Springs and Telford.

·Boat access will be provided to allow divers to access and dive Telford Springs
·Get your sidemount rig on and come dive Hidden Springs
    ·Morgan Spring has re-opened!
·Lafayette Blue or the Green Sink Cave System has had limited access over the years but is an extensive system with over 23 sinkholes and will make for a great shallow dive (30-50ft)

Access to all the caves will be facilitated and advice and information will be on hand to make your dives easier. Guides will be available on the day if requested. So come DIVE!!!

There will be great specials on Dive Rite gear and the Dive Rite team will be out in force to answer any questions. So if you have any questions about gear, how to set it up, or need ideas on streamlining or side mount diving this is the perfect time to get hands on help. There will have a bunch of demo great too (including a chance to test dive the O2ptima rebreather). So come by, test and try out the Dive Rite products under real conditions.

Bill puts on a great cookout and there will be plenty to do throughout the day.

Don’t miss this awesome day – set aside Nov 1st and make sure you are at Cave Excursions!

    Cave Diver Arrow

Also, I hear Bill is letting folks camp out and/or park their RV out there in the field in front of his store... and a free nitrox fill per person.

    Default Morgan

Is Morgan open for diving all the time now? What does one have to do to dive there in terms of permission, etc.?

Sign waiver and pay $15 (it was this amount) at Bill's, and be a trimix diver (it's 180' as soon as you drop in). This is an advanced dive.

Don't forget that REACT is this Saturday!

If you are keen to dive with Lamar at Hidden Springs (SM cave so make sure you bring the right gear) make sure you are at Cave Excursions by 10am.

Be there by 12pm if you are interested in an O2ptima Demo. The dry part will be at 12pm and the in water demo will be at 1pm at Cow - you must come for the theory section if you want to actually dive the breather.

Then at 3pm Lamar will be holding a sidemount clinic - so if you have any questions about sidemounting, any problems with your own rig that you would like resolved or just want to see what the fuss is about, make sure you don't miss it.

There's some great diving to be done in the area - so come along to Luraville!

    Question So How was REACT

How was the attendance and the food, and the band?

Attendance was lighter than last year. The food was as awesome as ever. The band? I missed the band, but we left before the bonfire.
