    Default Peacock (Pot-Hole-Line) 09/20/2008

Did a foray up the main-line Saturday morning at Peacock. Skeeters were quite nasty (as usual). The vis in the basin is excellent , as was the cavern. I notice that the tanic water around Nicholson has mostly vanished now. Probably close to 50ft of vis.

Went up to between the window and the jump to Crossover and turned there.

Beautiful vis in the cavern when we got back up the , er , uh , slit... (you know what I mean ) lol

Don't know about the Peanut side but I would assume that is still nice.

Again , only negative was those winged vultures. "Oh boy , here come some more victims"
I was reading your discussion on skeeter repelling devices. Neat stuff.
    Keep it coming.

    Thanks!
    Jean

P.S. Thanks BabyDuck for a WONDERFUL DIVE !!!! And I am sorry , we couldn't get the Pink Tunnel cleaned up any better for you. But as you said , that's nature for you. Besides , bring in a rake to clean up the leaves just wouldn't be right. And if Janet caught me with it , well , er , I'd have a rake (miffs comment)

Jean, you sure do a lot of diving...I am jealous! Were you by any chance diving there Sunday as well? A woman surfaced as my buddies and I were about to enter P1 and attempted to charge my buddy for "blowing bubbles up his ass" lol. (we were on the surface while that team was at their safety stop)

    LOL!

That comment caught me completely off guard. I don't think that was Jean (I think I recall her posting that she doesn't dive dry). I forget the lady's name, Bobby, Xenia, Tony and I were cooling off in our dry suits at Ginnie a few weeks back and her and Xenia had a convo about the she pee, so she's two for two on cracking me up each time we've met.....

I do think Jean and I passed paths the 13th of this month at Ginnie.

That was BabyDuck. I was also one of the divers you saw. We had just done a run up to Olsen and back.

    THAT sounds like Marcie (ROFL)...
Oh , now that's just TOO FUNNY !!!! (STILL ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING)

Way to make my day !

Yes , I think we crossed paths on the 13th at Ginnie.
And don't be TOO jealous , I am on the road for a while so my diving schedule going to be a little toned down for a bit. Oh well , I had a nice run at home for a while.
(so glad I was home when Marcie's merry band was there )

    Jean

P.S. See what Pink Tunnels do to you.
Marcie/Mark: You HAVE to get down here more often , you know. I had a BLAST with you guys on Saturday , fer sure. Sans Chicken Dance , of course (OOPS)... (Couldn't help myself)

I don't think that was us.

A breather team which I'm near 100% certain was a class lead by a well known instructor, was KNEELING on the crossover tunnel to tie in a jump spool while blocking our exit (covering our spool up), and one member was flutter kicking down in the ceiling. It was getting bad quick, and all 3 of us decided to get on the line before it got even worse. l31gc can attest to this as well, it was pretty bad, but we all got a good laugh out of it for the rest of the day, so I guess it was worth it.

yeh, I can definitely attest to that. we only did lights out drills in the last 600-200ft of the cave (if I remember correctly). when we went back down peanut tunnel towards Olsen to (where the breather team was headed) to complete the circuit, the vis was dramatically different.
