Default Ginnie Springs conditions for 9/5?

Can I ask, anyone have some recent observations of Ginnie so I can anticipate the conditions for this weekend (9/5)? Is it still flooded? Is it diveable? Is the flow a problem? Is the viz good once inside the cave? Any issues I should know before making the trip to Ginnie?

    thanks.

I was there yesterday (Wed). Only one other diver there (as of 1PM). The cave is a bit tannic, not the crystal clear 80+ we are used to. More on the order of 30-40' maybe. Entrance only through the Eye.

Flow is still down. It's starting to pickup, however. (I actually had to pull a little through the Lips yesterday, last week I swam through it)

    Is it diveable? Absolutely!

How's the run and the OW/cavern section of the Eye ?

The shoals are there still, the winds howl loud, the rain beats down, the waves burst strong. Some night, in the chill darkness, someone will make a mistake: The sea will show him no mercy. John T. Cunningham

Darkish...but not horrible you can see your buddies...it just has a yellowish red tint. I haven't seen it in the daytime...it's probably less darkish...

Yes, as Elisha said. It has a tint to it. Not bad at all. Worse in the cave.

It's a beautiful dive swimming up the run. It's very clear at Little Devil's then about 1/2 down you see the tannin seeping in. With the sun overhead yesterday it looked like something out of a Wes Skile's photograph. And me with no camera. Or photography skills.

    Default The Other Diver

I was the other diver there yesterday. Turkey's Roost was closed off, but the Little Devil's parking lot was open. Four steps (west side) are now above water at the Eye. Same at Little Devil's. Water in the cave is 50% smoky, with perhaps 40 - 50 feet viz. Perfectly diveable, and a good opportunity to get some experience in less than ideal conditions. Have a good weekend!

40-50 foot of vis is allmost crystal clear for what we dive up here in MO. You all better take that and run with it. It is even warmer then what we have up here.

Sounds like it is still some awsome diving going on there.

Ginnie's conditions have been fairly well reported at caves.tampadiving.com adding some would be helpful for everyone though.
