    Default Peacock - 08/31/2008

Did a dive up the Peanut Tunnel Sunday Afternoon. Vis was a little milky from the Breakdown Room up to about 1400 feet or so. Once we passed the water source tunnels up there , it cleared up VERY NICELY !!! (SMILE)

Jumped onto the Challenge-Olsen mainline. Depth in Olsen was about 12 feet at the top of the rocks. The vis from Olsen to P1 was actually QUITE GOOD (I was surprised). I would say 40-60 feet (I could see the double 700 arrows on the Mainline even before the jump for Cisteen. I really didn't notice much river intrusion water on the PotHole mainline. But of course , we didn't do any jumps into Cisteen or Nicholson to check that out.

Peanut had a nice little flow in it too , and we could feel a nice back-push once we started towards Olsen.

All in all , a VERY NICE dive with really nice Viz.

Oh , the depth at the top of the ceiling in the breakdown room was about 9 feet. (smile)

And AGAIN , the mosquitoes were waiting for us in the basin. Durn vultures ( lol )

    Da Beano

Oh Lord , keep us safe , ALWAYS safe , and keep ME PRUDENT , ALWAYS PRUDENT !!!

We were actually sitting here thinking everything was closed. Thanks Jean. Maybe we'll go diving.

No way, lots of good diving this weekend. It was nice having most places to ourselves though!

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

....and the mosquitoes we are told !

The shoals are there still, the winds howl loud, the rain beats down, the waves burst strong. Some night, in the chill darkness, someone will make a mistake: The sea will show him no mercy. John T. Cunningham

OMG! YES! We need to put in some bat houses or something out there. Those suckers were aggressive and fearless and HUNGRY! They were eating our bug juice like it was ketchup and still biting us. Evil monsters, they were!
