    Smile Kite Beach sea caves

Although Kite Beach is a world famous Kite surfing spot no one had ever dived the reef let alone explore the caves. Some of the caves have entrances too tight to get in backmounting but with sidemount you gain access to a fairly extensive network of caves, it looks like you are diving inside the belly of a monster, very unusual looking rock formations.

    Default Kite Beach

It is just 5 minutes west of Caberete, it is a super famous kite surfing spot and also a world class surf spot with a north swell, I surf there allot and had always seen weird shapes in the reef and figured it would be a cool dive, but I had no idea about how much cave there would be. The caves are super weird looking, the video does not really do it justice, with a really cool green tint for some reason. There are small cracks in some places that let in a bit of light and it makes it even weirder.
It must be dived early in the morning before the wind picks up and it must be on flat (no swell) days or you get annihilated at the entrances with surge.

    Great video, really enjoyed it.

Being a newbie to cave diving, I have a question. Where is the line? Isn't it dangerous to not run a line for a way back out just in case of problems?

    Default Kite beach

There is a line, for some reason it does not show on the video maybe cause it's almost all on the ceiling part of the cave. In any cave no matter what always use a line, even if it's just to go look a few feet back.

The caves are about 300 mtrs long and there are a bunch still to be discovered .
