No sir - the sampling was done very close to the sign at the bottom of the fissure.

I've seen that big red buoy under tannic river water, could not see it. That was fall '04 I was standing ankle deep in water on the platform at Little Devil.

The Mill Pond caves are just fine. I dove JB yesterday with the usual 100' + visibility. Edd was in Twin and Hole in the Wall on Saturday with 90' and 80' for those 2. However, if rained all day today and I just heard a report of tornados in the area tonight!

    Hmmm....Looks like it's:
Get out the Ginnie Pass and the Manatee fins
Good thing we got into Orange Grove on Sunday then. No river intrusion that we saw (went up the Distance tunnel) but the basin viz was very bad.
But of course , with Mike's report from today , that probably will change quickly.

Thanks Mike !!! I am glad your sampling went well. (high-5)

Make up your mind, Mike, could you see it or not?

Anyone have any info on the current (Monday, 25th of Aug.) conditions of Little River and Cow?
I hear the river is rising and want to try to hit a cave tomorrow, (Tuesday). Maybe Devil's Eye at Ginnie...?

Dove ginnie for the past 2 days and diving again today...yesterday the ear was indeed hard to find and the river is way up. There's a well laid temporary/permanent line from the eye to goldline and the barrier between the eye and ear is ready to go in. Its a bit milky in the big room area but fine other than that. Flow is still down. The water was up about 4 steps or more at little devils. Bill Huth

It's now almost mid day on Tuesday August 26th and I am about to head out to try to dive Little River.
I did call the county park office (located elsewhere -- off Little River property) and was told that as far as they knew Little River was currently open and the river had not yet risen into the park and head spring area although they expect that to happen sometime this week.
I'll report back later what I find out there as I have not been able to find any info from any divers that have been to Little River since this past Fay weekend. (That also includes calling some dive shops.)
Guess I'll have to go see for myself...
