FYI Someone got a stage bottle/reg stolen at Telford this Sat. It was left in the basin near the entrance in about 15' of water. No sign of anyone before/after the dive. Make sure you bring you toys in the cave.

The shoals are there still, the winds howl loud, the rain beats down, the waves burst strong. Some night, in the chill darkness, someone will make a mistake: The sea will show him no mercy. John T. Cunningham
Are you 100% positive it didn't just float away? I understand it WAS NOT clipped to a line.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.
That sucks Raphael, any idea if they came in by land ???

When I get out of cavediving, it will be to learn how to use a walkerFW
Don't blame the messengerMaybe I could add a "don't forget to clip your bottle" statement...
I wasn't diving there. I'm just reporting what the diver in question reported. He called the cop to report it so he's confident it didn't float away. He reported the stage was almost full.
Seriously, a pretty full stage (even half full) doesn't just float way. People drop half empty O2 bottle all of over the place at Ginnie/LR and they don't float away. The diver reported that they searched the area for it in case it could have floated.

And don't shoot the guy asking a reasonable question.
Raphael, you know I've filled enough cylinders...an AL80 (for example) will be very tail light half full. Until it gets to around 2200psi then it will sink.
I'm just tired of the knee jerk reaction that some local redneck must have stole gear if it comes up missing.
WTF? Why would anybody leave a bottle not clipped to something?????? Not asking you R. it's one of those rhetorical questions.
