Default No mainline in the eye?

Im sure there must be a good reason but I cant think of one and have never read or been told why there isnt a line run in the eye or catacombs?

As far as the catacombs - I was told "These are the only popular passageways in the cave that are not lined. This is intentional, as instructors rely on these tunnels to give students extensive reel practice."

If you knew how to run a line it wouldnt be a problem to put one in there for yourself

The temp guideline was there July 18th when I dove around 5pm, and the morning of July 20th it was gone....

From an intro/basic cave diver's point of view, I like there being no line in the catacombs, since we can't do any deco, it makes a nice end of the day dive when your NDL's aren't very long (since it's shallow in there), and I find it cool to have some area to "explore". If someone puts line in there, it becomes a apprentice/full cave dive.

Are you sure it was the temp? I was there earlier in the month I did not see it at that time.

    Default Line in Eye

I've heard that there is no line in the Eye because instructors want students to learn/practice running a primary a long distance in high flow....I have no idea if this is true or not.
