    Default Cow today (7/5/08)

Cow was a busy place today with 3 4-person teams doing multiple dives! The great thing was that we all worked together and shared a primary reel, , discussed dive plans and staggered our entries and everyone seemed to have good dives. This is the kind of cooperation between teams that promotes safety and great dives for all involved!

The visibility in upstream was at least 60' and the flow perfect for an effortless, exit. Downstream was a bit hazier.

Ed, I look forward to seeing some pictures.

Wow, that's pretty cool you could coordinate use of a single primary reel to keep it from becoming a cluster! I look forward to pictures!

We were there. We were the first team in. I was the guy who reminded you about your hand cart. It was great to dive there for the first time, definitely the most beautiful cave I've been in.

Thanks again for the reminder and I'm glad you enjoyed your first dives at Cow!

No problem at all, glad I noticed it. I couldn't imagine being without my hand cart.

Not only were they my first cave dives at Cow, they were the "celebration dives" after completing my Full cave class.

In case you are wondering "how" to coordinate the use of a singel reel for multiple teams: the first team in runs the reel and puts a cookie on the line next to the reel then additional teams put their cookies next to the first one. Upon exit, remove your cookie and if others are still on the line, you leave the reel because somebody is still in the cave. If your cookie is the last, then you pull the reel because your team is last.

    Default Pics.

As always, great pictures. Based on Jean's hair style, I would say the flow must be up at Manatee.

Yes the flow was very high today.

Here are pictures from Cow, the grand traverse at Peacock, and Manatee.. Let me know if anyone wants a non-compressed file of the pictures.
