    Default Better stage swimming

This weekend I put a quick link on my backplate[bottom hole]with a small hogring and it made all the difference in the world. The bottle stayed horizontal much better than when hooked to a bottom d-ring.Usually Id have to hold it up going through the bedding plane in the chute, and the lips but not anymore.I forget who gave me the tip on here but thanks.

Well you are half way into sidemounting there....

I have also seen people having a second D-ring on the webbing by the backplate. They clip the tank there when full and then clip it to the typical waist D-ring when it starts to float.

The shoals are there still, the winds howl loud, the rain beats down, the waves burst strong. Some night, in the chill darkness, someone will make a mistake: The sea will show him no mercy. John T. Cunningham

Add one to the other side and you have a great place to stow your safety or jump reels.
