Regulator serviceability

What is the easiest regulator (suitable for cave diving) to service?

I find the service for all of them intimidating but so is the cost of having them serviced.

Scubapro Mark 2/R-190. But you're used to breathing Atomics; nothing that is easy to service will be acceptable to you now.

Apeks.

Breathe very well and are pretty simple to service (you can do it in the jungle). You just need a C-spanner to undo the 1st stage, otherwise everything else is done with standard tools.

They are extremely reliable too.

I don't have a whole lot of experience, but I went with Dive Rite's because of the serviceability. They are relatively straight forward to service and you can download the service manual straight off their website and purchase the rebuild kits as a consumer from just about anywhere. Access is the key.

Dive Rite regs are very easy to service and the kits are readily available. They have a great reputation and deservedly so. I would suggest that you learn how to service them yourself.

Alot of it depends on what you can get readily in your area. I can't get DR regs where I live, no dealers. But I can get Mares, Atomics and ScubaPro. I went with Mares Abyss when I got into diving because of the Navy ratings on breathability, etc. I can get the kits through my shop and my buddy services them since he went through their service class. He has a vested interest in my regs working properly!
