I know there is going to b a pasale of folks at JB Saturday and Sunday. What are the dive opportunies for Indian or Cheryl for this weekend?

Also I have seen reports about Vortex but always saw that as a OW type place is the Cave dive beyond the gate worth the Fee?

Cheryl is closed to diving. If you meant Emerald - you need to fill out paperwork and get approved. I think they do it quarterly.

Indian---google Indian Springs cave and follow the links, you will eventually get to the guide list. Yes, it's guided only, you need mix cert and diver insurance.

I was thinking Indian would be a good dive Anyone know the conditions. I got all the pre-reqs

I may be wrong, but I thought the last weekend to dive Indian was last weekend.

As for Vortex, I haven't been past the grate, but I don't know if it's worth the drive and the fee. Plus it gets deep, trimix recommended.

First; the Park mngmnt has graciously chosen to keep the park open to diving through Monday 26 May for the workshop.

Second; when there are children at the camp (their primary purpose) NOONE else is allowed onsite; that includes divers. The park is closed to divers through the summer. I don't recall when it reopens.

The sinks downstream from Emerald and Cheryl are looking damned good right now. I would guess that Emerald and Cheryl are good to go.

Usually around Labor day,but that is dependent on whether they have other groups using the camp ground like Boy Scouts ect.
