    Default Manatee - 05/18/2008

Ed and I dove Manatee this morning. We got in at Friedman's (my 1st time in there and Ed's been in there before , so he was my mentor. Thanks Ed )
Went upstream about 3 to 400 feet. Flow wasn't too bad. Turned on our agreed pressure and started the "fly" out.

Vis was very nice (I would say at least 50-70 feet). Very little particulate in the water and we were able to do some very nice sightsee-ing on the way out.
(I finally saw the jump to the Mud Tunnel upstream from Friedman's. Gads that's a big tunnel) EEK !!!

Went thru Catfish and took the syphon to Manatee Springs. We were able to actually do deco stops on the boulder pile without getting whipped out. (very nice).
Lot's of OW's in Manatee swimming around. They looked like they were having a wonderful time too. Didn't see anyone in Catfish as we went thru though.

All in all , a WONDERFUL DIVE !!!
And the sun coming in at Sue's Sink was marvelous. I could see the "light" from at least 50-75 feet away from it. (it was beautiful).

    Thanks!
    Jean
