    Default Suwannee Conditions

Does anyone know the conditions of caves associated with the Suwannee? Madison, Cow, Anderson, Edwards, Little River, etc...

    Thanks

We dived Madison, and Little River this weekend, among others.

Madison was gorgeous. The flow was "perfect", as in enough to keep things reasonably cleared out, yet not enough to make me feel like I was working hard. Of course, this could be relative to having just dived Anderson! Jumping off the platform to cool off between trips to the car with gear is highly recommended! It's getting hot.

Little River is getting busy. The flow was about what it last year, prior to the floods. Viz is getting better, and the line looked good as far as the Florida room, via both the Merry-Go-Round and the Serpentine lines. The water is lapping at the foot of the sidewalk "T", just perfect for easy gearing up and entry for more than a few folks at once.

    All good dives! Enjoy!

Thanks alot for the report! Since Madison closes at sunset, we might dive there tomorrow if I can get off work early and leave right away. Anderson sounds like it would be a blast later on in the week or weekend too.

I always want to jump off the platform at Madison after diving, but never do because I have some strange idea that it will "shake up the bubbles" and maybe give me a DCS hit. Does this make sense to anyone, or am I being needlessly over cautious?

Good point. The thought occurred to me, and I'd be interested to hear the experts speak on this.

I did consider the steps (ie exertion!) we saved by not walking the whole way round each trip as a bonus though!
