    Default oxychek 3watt backup

I got one of these friday.75.oo and well worth it.We did a side by side comparison at Manatee with a 10 watt Hid,and could not tell the difference.I got home and shined the two in the backyard and they compared alike untill I shined them way up a pine tree, maybe 80ft.The Hid beat it at a distance. But within say 50ft.they were the same.Im sure someone out her might disagree as usual but I proved it to myself and others.Three AA batterys and a 4 hour burn time it is indeed sweet..Randy

    Default oxycheq backup

they are indeed nice. i have one that i got from scuba tiger in orange park for my intro this past weekend. when we did primary light failure sim, that little guy lit up the cave almost as well as my 10w primary.

IMHO, Oxycheq does have some top notch stuff. I was fortunate enough to drop in on Patrick while he and Duane were packing up and moving from Ft. Pierce to Marianna. He cut me a great deal on wings, regs, hoses, spgs, and various odds and ends. I've been using Oxycheq gear ever since with no issues.
It's about time for me to move on to LED backups. Thanks for the heads up Stairman.

There is an intova light thats basically the same intensity and beam as the Oxycheq, it can be had for $40-50. Keep in mind there are two intova lights and they are a bit different in spread/intensity - both are good in their own rights though.

It does say the Intova wide angle is a 4.8W as opposed to a 3W.

According to their website they're also coming out this month with a 3 emitter (9W I'm guessing) light it looks like.
