    Default Kingsley Lake?

Does anyone have GPS coordinates to this lake's springs, or the sunken airplanes and helicopters??

    Cool What airplanes and helicopters?

I can tell you living in Clay County and someone that dives it pretty offten with the sheriff's office, there are not any sunken airplanes or helicopters in it. About the only thing you will find in it is a 1970 model 16ft boat toward the south end of the lake. Trust me our dive team plays with it using lift bags and it is not much to look at. As far as the springs go the spring water that does flow into the lake comes up through a boil in the middle of the lake the majority of the water is rainwater. It really isn't a place to waste a trip on unless you just want a good place to teach a class or if you like looking at nothing. When it comes to other water activities like wakeboarding its great. I feel that it is the best lake in North Florida and it is very clean. The only problem you are going to have is getting access. Due to both waterpark facilities that were on it closing down the only way to get on the lake is to know someone who lives on it or to be in the military or be a police officer to get onto Camp Blanding and use their boat ramp. All in all if you have another place in mind it is probably a better choice. Oh yeah as far as the gps cordinates of the boil its in the middle of the lake at around 86ft.

Next time you are out there dive right off the enlisted mens club dock a little ways, you should find something interesting.

Thanks for warning me. My dad is getting his military papers to access the camp sometime soon so we can do wake/knee boarding there this summer. This might be a good spot to get used to doubles while the others on the boat swim and rest some from skiing.

    Default Camp Blanding

Fantastic place to go swimming. You may want to check
into their cabins and camping facilities. Camping they have 2 sections 1 has
primitive only water available & dump station available for everyone to use
and 2nd section has full hook up available, electric, concrete slab and sewage
I spent many summers at Camp Blanding and have missed it.
    Beautiful sunsets.
    Have Fun,
    Cynthia

yes it is a bit enticing if you read the Underwater Florida reveiw.Kinda like the sunken steamboat at Troy.Trust me its not worth diving.I live three miles from there and have dove it.For a clear spring lake it gets nasty quick. It is however the only perfect circle lake in the world and was a great place to go swimming, boating etc.but access is limited now that Stricklands is closed which had a large squared off dock system that you could swim in the middle of with slides, high dives etc.Spent many weekends there as a kid and was saddened when old man Strickland died and the county wouldnt allow the new owners to keep the dock system.

Here's a neat photo. Make sure you click "aerial image" and zoom in.

When I first put in the latitude/longitude numbers, it took me to the China/Nepal border. Then I made the longitude a negative number and it gave me the lake.

Old mand Strickland was a funny fellow. I remember adults trying to sneak alcohol in his place thinking he was a senile ole man, and he'd turn them around one by one

Keyton beach was nice while it lasted, but getting the boat in was always a PITA, because their ramp was horrible.

There were some other factors like past due taxes that came into play with the dock system. Where do you live, I live there as well.
