OK..... I gotta ask, why does the line keep getting moved??? I cannot see where it makes that much difference.

Maybe to keep openwater divers from finding it with their stashed lights.

seems it would be easier to find on the floor?
since that's where the OW divers would be kneeling

OW you say ? Well last time I was Ginnie. I'm coming out after a 2h30h run and as I approach the beginning of the line I see the "cave monster". This gentleman was vertical in the water column then I saw him fall down dead vertical on the cave floor. Boom ! He was standing like he wanted to walk on the cave floor. This gentleman was wearing double, one stage and a homemade scooter. Funny looking as the tube wasn't a perfect cylinder but had two ballast molded on top. I'm sure he had cave training well let's say I'm sure he took a class but he definitely didn't show training that day. It was quite strange to see this monster not moving, just standing up on the cave floor. He wasn't trying to get back horizontal. For a second, I thought he needed help. Maybe he was looking up trying to find the line... who knows....

The shoals are there still, the winds howl loud, the rain beats down, the waves burst strong. Some night, in the chill darkness, someone will make a mistake: The sea will show him no mercy. John T. Cunningham

    Thumbs up Clean-!

FYI: If its on the floor & you have good vis, not to worry. If its floating every which way, or snagged against a outcropping or ceiling structure & you have near zero vis, then you should start to worry & start looking for some OW fins thrashing above your heads-! Been there, seen it, & pulled them out alive-!
    Later..............
