The road work has not begun yet, however the equipment, a 10 ton truck, a small dozer and bulldozer, have been delivered. The fill is coming on Monday and the work will begin on Tuesday, after a day or two he'll be able to tell us how long it will take to complete the project. John Orlowski conducted a line committee test dive with tape measure and all last week and we have 30' to 60' of viz inside the system, the green water in the basins is from an algea bloom. So as soon as the road is completed we will be able to reopen for diving. We are truly sorry for the delays and what this is doing to your vacation plans, if I were planning a vacation I would not plan on diving PSSP before the 17th at the earliest and for safety maybe not until the next weekend. Sorry the news isn't better.

The system is clearing, that's great news. Hopefully 2-3 weeks it'll be done, which for me, I was unavailable until then anyways!

Welllllllllllllll kids...........the materials are coming in by the truck loads. There is an enormous pile being stocked here at the office, they are bringing in about 40 truck loads, 17 were delivered yesterday. Now all of this material that has been delivered has to be loaded into a truck to go into the park, a 10 ton truck will be loaded with 5 tons of material at a time so not to do any damage to the fragile system below the road, so......I would suggest to anyone who wants to plan their vacation to include diving at PSSP to delay those plans at least until Memorial Day weekend to be sure, and understand we are not sure of an opening day yet so even Memorial Day weekend could be iffy. I'll post when I find anything definate out.
    Sorry about the delays.

Janet, thanks for the info. We all know that if it had been up to you this whole thing would be done by now. Keep up posted.
