I like the Dive Rite Transplate harness. It is very comfortable and extremely adjustable. I have two of them - one on an aluminum backplate for diving steel doubles, and one on a stainless steel backplate for diving with a single tank. In the course of a year I dive in everything from a 3mm wetsuit to a DUI CF200 drysuit with a thick undergarment. The Transplate harness lets me adjust very quickly and easily to varying exposure suits. I also like this because my configuration is nearly identical whether I am cave diving, wreck diving, or just fooling around in the local pond.

I also earned my card from Michael O'Leary. Nothing gets past him. Nothing..
I dive with a Hammerhead and like it. I have both also. Just make sure that the bolt holes are the right size for your bands. easy to fix in alum not so easy in steel. Good luck.

Hammerhead makes a GREAT plate. They actually donated 2 for last year's NACD conference. If you get a Hammerhead plate, MAKE SURE you order it deburred!

That makes me even more likely to order from them, and note that in my order.

I use a Dive Rite backplate which I've had for years but recently bought the adjustable harness system from Oxycheq along with a Razor wing. Both are rugged and of great quality. Though I'm not a celebrity I will endorse what I dive. http://www.oxycheq.com/Oxycheq/Wings-BackPlates.html
