American divers underwater during Tsunami

I just heard a husband and wife were underwater with their divemaster when the tsunami hit, and they survived. The link is CNN.com
Other than the visibility going bad, and a downward pull towards the bottom, they had no idea what was going on. When they surfaced, there was a lot of debris in the water, and the divemaster was text messaged by his wife and told him what happened. After that, there was bodies floating all around them.
