I had a class this weekend at the millpond but was unable to get any recent report on conditions of anything but JB. We took a boat out from Cave Adventurers Saturday the 8th and checked out both Hole and Twin. We dived both caves and were surprised at the conditions. Hole was clear at the surface and vis. was very managable upstream to 500' or so, where we turned on student's gas. There was good flow coming out of the spring vent.
We motor'd over to Twin and tied up and checked it to the back of the cavern. It was milky but, vis. was easily 40' + in most areas. There was cold water intrusion at Skile's Passage. I've never seen this before. A good day of diving after all!
We dove Jackson Blue today and vis. continues to improve. Before all the teams got in the water, the vis. was easily 50'+ from the cavern to 400' or so.
Many thanks to Brian Hamilton for his help with the system checks and class.
Hope all systems continue to clear.
Kenny P.
