Thread: PSSP update

    Default PSSP update

The water level is declining, the river gauge is visible again and at 6.83. Three steps are out of the water at Orange Grove and 6 at P1, I see no water movement at all, but with the rain pouring down it is kind of difficult to see movement. We are getting slammed by a storm today with .85 inches of rain here at PSSP already. If we get the rain here in Florida it would be great but if GA gets it it won't be so good, they already opened the flood gates for the Okeefonokee Swamp, that is what raised the Suwannee so fast, the swamp is full.
    Safe diving,

Aah, I wondered how/why that happened.

    Default water

Yes, that is what they published in the Lake City Reporter this week concerning the swamp and the flooding of the Santa fe, the Suwannee is of course holding the Santa Fe's water back. We are really getting slammed here today, suppose to be a tornado on the ground headed PSSP's way. The big question is if I yell will anyone hear me-ha ha ha.
Well I do have work to do, later..............

NOAA is predicting another 2+ in addition to what fell earlier this morning in the swamp. The With., Alapaha & Suwannee Rivers are already starting to rise.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

    Default Damage in North FL

I have not seen it yet but there is damage in N Lake City from either a micro burst or a tornado according to ERT. Strong rain here all morning.

Live Oak has no power and half of Lake City has no power. Lake City has been hit by a tornado that crossed over a wide area without causing much damage until it got to Lake City, lots of roofs are gone & metal buildings destroyed, it turned a UPS truck over hurting the driver, still raining but the worst should out of the area. JAX is getting the severe weather now.

....tornado went RIGHT by Dive Rite's warehouse...snapped off a power pole and killed the trasformer right acroos the street, dropped power lines across their parking lot exit.
Needless to say, no power there!!

It's been confirmed there has been a fatality in Lake City. The storm did hit in the area of Dive Rite's building. I hope they are all safe.
