I've not been to Manatee since they started limiting the amount of cavers in the park. What's the procedure these days? I'm heading down in a few weeks and inquiring minds need to know.

    TIA!

Max eight divers in at Catfish at a time, no limit to team size except a minimum of 2 divers/team of course.

You can sign in and wait for others to exit if you get there and they are at their limit. Not sure if you need to go back to the ranger station with the exiting divers or it's an honor system at that point. Maybe someone else can shed a little more light?

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

They have a big group of OW divers there this weekend, and are closed to more cavern and OW divers. I'm not sure if there's a limit on the number of cave teams they let in, but there didn't seem to be any mention of it today.

It's worth going, because the conditions there are currently spectacular. There is almost no discernable flow in the main passage. The viz is at least 80 feet. It's like being at Peacock. You really can appreciate how beautiful this cave is.
