    Default In need of 85's

I am in need of a set of double 85's. I have a set of pressed steel 95's and they are to heavy for me with my back problems. I would like to trade them with some cash for a set of 85's. I also have a set of Al. 80's with manifold and straps and an old dive rite classic wing S.S. backplate and harness that I would throw in on the trade.

    Default Yes I have

Well as a matter of fact yes I have but have found no one to teach me the ropes of sidemount. I know my limits and do not want to dive past or even near my limits of restrictions or sidemount passages I would like to do it for helth purposes not to go where I know not to go. But yes I wish I could do sidemount but cant till I have 50 safe cave dives or better some want you to have Abe-Davis award.

The reason why I said this is that in the next year I may be having back surgery myself.

    Default well I understand

I can understand that and I wish I could get someone to teach me but unable to as of now but there is a chance someday I guess but I have ruptured disc in L4 and L5 and sometimes I have trouble with a single tank so I could just imagine those 95's doubled up. I talked with Dwayne and he has back trouble also and he said the 85's were the thing for him and I just thought that if I had to I should get them.

I love my 85's. Pumped up they provide plenty of gas, sling an 80 and you are a match for even the best sac rates swimming with 104's. The thing I noticed while trying to use 112's was that it tired me down so much just getting into the water with them that it caused my sac rate to go up, negating the extra gas that they offered. SM is definitely the way to go for those of us with back problems. It's really not so difficult to master if you can find a good mentor. If I ever get around to setting up my own rig, back mount will become a thing of the past for me.

    Default 85's

Have you ever considered the 80's they are nice and light but can be bumped good and high. I have a set of Faber Scuba-pro 80's that are set for doubles with a scuba-pro manifold and a Dive-rite set of bands that I would trade. Just got a VIS and O2 clean at Ginnie. They are all set up.
