Everyone spends the first nine months of life in water. The lucky ones make frequent return visits.

Motorcycle Consumer News specifically advises against using RainX on face shields and windscreens for this reason. It weakens the anti-scratch properties. My brother didn't read the article - now you can hardly see through the windscreen on his Gold Wing, it's so scratched.

As far as defog is concerned, JBS is the ticket. As a dive shop employee for thirteen years, I have to use what we sell. That's easy enough - I take a Sea Drops bottle, dump the junk out, and fill it with Johnson's. The customers are none the wiser.

My favorite defog story: several years ago one of our instructors had a pool class going on. One student had left his defog in his gear bag. The instructor said, "Just use spit."

The owner's wife, an accountant, walked over to the instructor and whispered, "We don't sell spit!"

Whoever said money can't buy love never bought a puppy.

I had to replace the windshield on my Harley, because I don't get Motorcycle Consumer News....

    Smile good ole tooth paste-!

**Ok, just so you guys know I'm still around.....from LB's tech school of basic training.............Winterfresh gel, or Closeup gel works fairly well, & I've never had much more than a refreshing odar in my mask. Doesn't deteriorate the glass either-!

I always use watered down Dawn dishwashing detergent....Dawn, the diver's dishwasher detergent:

    1. De-fog your mask
    2. Oxygen cleaning
    3. Wetsuit defunking
    4. Soapy water find leaks in (drysuit, regs, etc.)
    5. Makes fins/waterski boots easier to get on and off
    6. Car wash for tanks after saltwater immersion
    7. Cleaning fish blood from boat deck from grouper you nabbed
    8. General boat cleaning
    9. Clean your dishes on the dive boat or campsite
    10.......???

The key for de-fogging with Dawn is watering it down...full strength can burn the eyes....couple floods of mask will do the trick if you forget.
